Fök Wös Kez (/fo˞k/ /wo˞s/ [former] [laugh]) is a temperate Large Town located in the Ůch Ḿåwa Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Fök Wös Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Fök Wös Kez was founded by Ra̋nvé̄ Có̄ńnvō 'Stunner Paige' Jóchī Ma̋nḱ Vúóchīy Igegri, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Fök Wös Kez has a yearly average temperature of 6°C (42°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold -11°C (13°F). Fök Wös Kez receives an average of 161 cm/y (63 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Fök Wös Kez covers an area of nearly 7 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4724 m (15498 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fök Wös Kez was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1333, by Ra̋nvé̄ Có̄ńnvō 'Stunner Paige' Jóchī Ma̋nḱ Vúóchīy Igegri. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Fök Wös Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fök Wös Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Fök Wös Kez is buildings are speckled and packed arround spacious canals streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Fök Wös Kez's timber-based walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Even the most brief look arround Fök Wös Kez has a good chance of putting a church or shrine into the center of your view. The town is most certainly a god fearing community. It’s also definitely a god loving community. THe streetcornors are occupied by preachers, with the occasional intersection playing host to an actually friendly debate relating to the merits of various gods. Even the less popular as well as the less politically loved gods seem to have a space in Fök Wös Kez, there’s even shrines to gods known to the region only through hearsay.

Fök Wös Kez has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fök Wös Kez's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fök Wös Kez possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Fök Wös Kez's grid is powered by an arcane means.

Fök Wös Kez has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fök Wös Kez's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fök Wös Kez has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Fök Wös Kez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fök Wös Kez has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Fök Wös Kez's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Fök Wös Kez the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.

The Spider, Scarlet (Tiny) near Fök Wös Kez are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Fök Wös Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves reenactments to channel Transmutation energies of tier 2 via moments of science.

Fök Wös Kez's roads were poorly made when first laid. Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Fök Wös Kez suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes. The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was ravaged by a deadly sickness. was the epicenter of the disaster, but Fök Wös Kez suffered the most. Fök Wös Kez lost 145 people, 186 livestock, and 25 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is spoken of in hushed whispers as the Wrath of Heartbreak.

History
